Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil
Is Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil a synthetic oil?
No, Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil is a highly refined mineral oil, which contains our proprietary patented technology that differentiates us from other oils whether they are synthetic or mineral. For more information on oils please refer to the January 2004 article by Off-Road.com, which can be found in the “News/Articles” section of the Blue Marble® website.
--
Is Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil safe for injectors?
Yes, it is completely safe for all oil injected and premix engines.
--
Is Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil safe for power valves?
Yes, it is completely safe for all power valve systems. Additionally, Blue Marble® users have reported extremely clean power valves after extended use.
--
Can I use Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil in my SDI or semi-synthetic/fully synthetic required engine?
Blue Marble 2-Cycle® Oil is fully compatible with all SDI engines. Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil has the same characteristics as semi-synthetic and fully synthetic oils satisfying the requirements by the manufacturers for semi-synthetic and fully synthetic oils.
--
When using Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil for the first time do I need to drain my oil reservoir?
We recommend that you drain the majority of your old oil out of your reservoirs first, making sure that you don’t get air into the lines and loose your prime. If there’s a small amount of the older oil in the very bottom of the reservoir as well as your injector lines it should be fine. By draining as much of the other oil as possible, you will get the benefits that Blue Marble® has to offer more quickly.
--
Is it okay to mix Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil with other oils (synthetic or mineral)?
We don’t recommend doing this if possible, especially the first time that you use it. If you happen to run out of Blue Marble® at some point, and you have to use another brand of oil, it can be added to Blue Marble®; however, the benefits from Blue Marble® will likely diminish (almost completely) with that first use of the mixed tank.
--
Will Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil work in my sled, boat, dirt bike, jet-ski, etc?
Yes, Blue Marble® will work great in any 2-Cycle engine. That is the simplicity of the product.
--
Is it okay to use Blue Marble® during the break-in period?
Yes, you can break an engine in using Blue Marble Oil®.
--
Will Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil void my warranty?
The federal law called the “Magnuson Moss Warranty Act of 1974” states that no manufacturer can require you to use their components (oil, etc.) to maintain the factory warranty unless they provide, at no charge during the said warranty period, such product free of charge. Most manufacturers state that the oil you use must meet or exceed the equivalent of specific testing procedures (i.e., TC-W3®, JASO, etc.). Blue Marble® High Performance 2-cycle oil meets or exceeds the specifications of JASO FD, TC-W3®, and ISO EGD.
--
What is the recommended mix ratio for Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil?
Follow you engine manufacturer’s mix recommendation.
--
What is the pour point for Blue Marble® 2-Cycle Oil?
Blue Marble® High Performance 2-Cycle Oil has a pour point of negative forty degrees Fahrenheit (-40° F).
Blue Marble® REV-ER-UP™
What are the benefits of REV-ER-UP™?
REV-ER-UP™’s patented technology treats the metal surfaces in the engine resulting in a reduction of friction and improved performance. Typical REV-ER-UP™ users report more power, improvements in fuel economy, smoother running engines, and decreased emissions.
--
Can I use REV-ER-UP™ in my old engine?
Yes, REV-ER-UP™ is effective in rejuvenating and bringing new life to old engines. In fact, some older engines have shown better results than newer more efficient engines.
--
Can I use REV-ER-UP™ in my new engine?
Yes, the surface that REV-ER-UP™ forms does not affect the break-in process of new engines.
--
How long will REV-ER-UP™ last?
REV-ER-UP™ forms a strong, semi-permanent bond with the metal parts. This bond will last as long as the small maintenance dose of REV-ER-UP™ is added at each oil change after the initial treatment.
--
How long does it take before any noticeable benefits in my car or truck?
The patented technology in REV-ER-UP™ should begin to take effect shortly after it has been installed, resulting in less friction and engine wear and improved performance. A “greening” period occurs during the first hundred to thousand miles before the full benefits are realized. Of course, individual results vary and even if there are no noticeable benefits, your engine will be running better with reduced friction.
--
Will the use of REV-ER-UP™ affect my new car or truck warranty?
In most cases, proper use of REV-ER-UP™ will not void engine manufacturer’s warranty. The manufacturer’s specified maintenance program must be followed to keep your vehicle warranty in effect.
--
Are all oils compatible with REV-ER-UP™?
REV-ER-UP™ has shown to have great results with most oils. Standard oils tend to have better, more noticeable results, whereas high end oils (i.e. synthetics) tend to have less noticeable results. In either instance a reduction of friction should occur.
--
Will REV-ER-UP™ make my wet clutch slip in my motorcycle?
No, the surface that REV-ER-UP™ forms does not adversely affect metal to fiber applications similar to wet clutches, only metal to metal applications.
